Bishop Kenneth L. Carder reflects on how this prayer helped him cope with two major life challenges.
“I am no longer my own but thine … ”
The Wesley Covenant Prayer became part of Bishop Kenneth Carder’s daily devotionals after a blocked artery in his heart threatened to stand in the way of his “preferred future.”
Then after seven years of joy in a “new vocation,” his beloved wife was diagnosed with dementia. The prayer again led them both to a place of peace.
